Where: NICHES Crow’s Grove Preserve parking lot in Warren Co.

What: Join us for the sights and sounds of spring as we listen for the “Peent! Peent! Peent!” of our twilight-dancing feathered friends, the American Woodcock aka Timberdoodle. The male woodcocks’ sky dances of upward spirals and downward swoops are a spectacular sight. We will begin the evening learning fascinating facts about the American Woodcock, and then we’ll explore the fields for the sounds of these interesting birds. This 0.75 - 1 mile hike covers uneven terrain, so sturdy shoes and a flashlight are essential.
